摘要: Abstract Maize cell suspension cultures were used to follow the rapid effects of herbicide S-ethyldipropyl thiocarbamate (EPTC) and protectant N, N-diallyl-2,2-dichloroacetamide (DDCA) in order determine sequence events which contribute protection by DDCA. EPTC decreased lipid synthesis 5% control within 2h, affected both neutral polar lipids, while DDCA stimulated incorporation (3H) - (14C) acetate into lipids. When given together with EPTC, partially counteracted inhibition fatty acid 2h. stimulation glutathione (GSH) levels started only after 12h, much on synthesis, most (14c) maize had been detoxified. We suggest that primary mechanism action is not via GSH as previously hypothesized. Rather, it involves a multilevel interactions overall from injury.
