摘要: Introduction A major challenge when using glass ionomer cement in clinical situation particularly paediatric dentistry is to overcome the problem of microleakage. Fast or command setting Type IX external energy source enhances reaction and results improved initial physical mechanical properties. Aim To compare evaluate influence ultrasonic activation, halogen light irradiation combined effect both on microleakage enamel adjacent restorations. Materials methods For forty premolar teeth, standard Class V cavities prepared were restored with GC Gold Label vitro. The specimens randomly divided into four groups: 1) Control group; 2) 3) 4) group. teeth kept distilled water for 24 hours. Teeth exposed 1500 thermocycles at temperature 12°C ±2 60°C alternate immersion hot cold one minute. First immersed dye solution hours then developing samples sectioned buccolingually through centre restorations degree penetration was assessed under stereomicroscope scored. One-Way ANOVA model constructed followed by post-hoc Tukey's test multiple pair wise comparison mean values. Results Statistically significant differences found among groups (p 0.05). Similarly between Ultrasonic plus group not (p>0.05). statistically Conclusion Halogen decreases restorations, used accelerate ionomers can be as set method dentistry.
