摘要: Abstract Particle-hole excitations leading to two coexisting systems in the same nucleus are studied framework of an extended interacting boson model (EIBM). We apply group theoretical concepts EIBM, a version where distinction is made between particle and hole bosons, particular case exhibiting U(5) regular O(6) intruder configuration. One can allow for such through K -symmetry breaking “vertical” classification particle-hole excitations. Furthermore, “horizontal” allows test concept analog multiplets. Besides description these “global” properties, mixing calculations illustrate important effects “local” perturbations. Detailed applications given nuclei region shell closure Z = 50.
