摘要: This paper extends our understanding of what determines the length strikes, by comparing two alternative models strike settlement process, while simultaneously allowing for variation in this process as a result economic conditions and unobserved heterogeneity. Some inconclusive support is found view that proceeds one or both sides presenting terms acceptance rejection, rather than yielding ground toward an intermediate position. Strike duration to be shortest at peaks business cycles, not dependent.
