摘要: This review summarises the current knowledge on cryptic species of polychaetes, one most dominant taxa in marine communities, and gives a brief overview different methods that has been used for their disclosure. Cryptic constitute an important part biodiversity they are common among all kinds with life history traits, may have sympatric as well allopatric distributions. It is emphasised must not be neglected variety reasons, even though magnitude largely unknown available data polychaetes clearly demonstrate morphology alone seriously underestimate number species. suggested future research should focus appropriately designed case-studies using combined approaches, large-scale whole sample analyses next-generation sequencing order to able answer many questions still remains.
