摘要: Abstract Background and objectives Primary monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (PMNE) is a common distressing condition to children parents. This study aimed determine frequencies, severities characteristics of behavioral problems with PMNE. Methods cross-sectional included 80 PMNE (age: 12.58 ± 1.24 yrs.; boys = 58, girls = 22) 60 healthy children. Behavioral symptoms were assessed by Strength Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Results (boys/girls ratio = 2.64:1) They had mean age 12.58 ± 1.24 yrs. The majority (70%) good response medical treatment. Compared controls, higher frequencies emotional, conduct hyperactivity-inattention peer relationship prosocial total (P = 0.001) different subscales' scores SDQ. There was an overlap in 52.2% enuresis. without symptoms, significantly older at presentation (P = 0.046) regardless gender, residence type or medications. Multiple regression analysis showed that emotional [β = 0.053 (95%CI = 0.037–0.084), P = 0.024] [β = 0.063 (95%CI = 0.028–0.097), P = 0.001] associated independent other problems. Conclusion risk particularly indicating externalizing internalizing problems, therefore, the importance early non-pharmacological or/and drug interventions. comorbid disorders should be treated separately according evidence-based recommendations prevent persistence development psychiatric future.
