摘要: Brain tumor is unchecked growth of brain cells disrupting many its important functions and, affecting molecular regulatory and signaling networks. Glioblastoma one the most deleterious tumors human brain. Cytokines are secondary messenger molecules in immunological other biochemical reactions. With glioblastoma progression, various cytokines secreted that either up-regulate or down-regulate others with function. Interleukins a family acting mainly as immune-regulatory proteins. They have been implicated initiation, progression invasion. Due to their multiple varied roles at every stage tumor, they now becoming an attractive target for study glioblastoma. This mini review briefly summarizes types major interleukins regulation effects studied so far. Immunotherapeutic aspects particularly emphasized promising therapeutic targets control tumors. Main which discussed here includes interleukin-1 (IL-1), interleukin-2 (IL-2), interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8), interleukin-10 (IL-10), interleukin-12 (IL-12). invasive still lack effective measures clinically. Conventional treatments like chemotherapy radiation therapy not only ineffective controlling spread glioblastoma, but also damaging unwanted side on healthy cells. Immunotherapy by blocking and/or increasing action certain has proven be measure laboratory investigations. Future work extending these findings clinical trials expected provide treatment measures.
