摘要: Background: Milk is a compulsory part of daily diet for the expectant mothers as well growing children. very important due to its special nutritive value and role human animal health. Adulteration practised either substitute cheaper ingredients or impress buyer think product more valuable better quality. Methods: The present study was conducted by Department Community Medicine at HIHT, Dehradun. All samples raw milk (open branded) supplied vendors in 5 Km radius HIHT . were also collected from Girls Boys Hostel Mess canteen. 500ml each variety open 500 ml packet branded purchased vendors. specific gravity assessed lactometer chemically tested Test Kit NICE Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. ( an ISO 9001 Certified Company). Results: It observed that out 60 milk, only 12 (20 %) had 26 which considered undiluted while 48 (80%) less than clearly indicating dilution with water. all including double toned different places showed presence urea detergents common adulterants. Conclusion:The findings this highlights need implement improved hygiene practices apply effective monitoring throughout production delivery chain. Training education needed persons who deal production, marketing processing.
