摘要: This paper deals with the problem of computational representation “non classical” concepts, i.e. concepts that do not admit a definition in terms necessary and sufficient conditions (sect. 1). We review some empirical evidence from field cognitive psychology, suggesting concept is an unitary phenomenon. In particular, it seems likely human beings employ (among other things) both prototypes exemplar based representations order to deal non classical 2). suggest cognitively in-spired, hybrid prototype-exemplar approach could be useful also artificial systems 3). sect. 4, we take into consideration conceptual spaces as suitable framework for developing aspects such 5).
