摘要: Abstract The conversion of Ag2O, grown-on Ag substrates, to AgI has in been investigated, using open-circuit potential, linear polarization, and potentiostatic control measurements. Three distinct reaction stages were clearly identified from the time-dependent behaviour EOC, corrosion currents measured by polarization. In early stages, when silver surface was covered with a coherent Ag2O film low porosity, E OC ∼ ( e ) 2 O / only chemical observed. As consumed area exposed I− solution increased, galvanic coupling reduction oxidation substrate also occurred. Once all reduced, formation stopped EOC fell (Ee)AgI/Ag. Chemical shown produce fine particulate whereas that formed anodically via form large crystals. Since few larger crystals observed, appeared be minor process.
