摘要: Abstract Aim A cross sectional study was conducted to examine the distress experienced by HIV infected discordant couples and their coping strategies. Background are those where one partner is other not. When of spouses an approved marriage person, psychological uninfected likely be high due social aversion towards couple, anxiety about possibility getting infection self. Materials methods total 30 couples, receiving anti retro-viral therapy from a general hospital in Puducherry, were selected. Distress measured using Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) Brief Cope scale respectively. The descriptive inferential statistics used for data analysis. Results result reveals that most respondents experiencing moderate level distress. substance use ( β  = −.615; p  = −.425;  = −.614;  = −.353;  = −.647;  = .−546;  = −.365;  = −.436;  = −.489;  = −.345;  = −.336; Conclusion concludes emphasizing reduction healthy promotion strategies couples.
