摘要: Members of the Wolffia genus are fascinating plants for many biologists as they smallest flowering on Earth and exhibit a reduced body plan that is great interest to developmental biologists. There has also been recent in use these species bioenergy or biorefining. Molecular studies have limited due high genome complexity uncertainties regarding stable genetic transformation. In this manuscript we present new protocols both transient transformation globosa using Agrobacterium tumefaciens. For transformation, used fronds whereas clusters As proof concept transformed two synthetic promoter constructs driving expression GUS marker gene, previously monitor auxin cytokinin output variety species. Using approaches obtained Transformation Efficiency (TE) 0.14% 21.8% The efficiency methods sufficient allow future investigate gene function. This first report successful W. globosa.
