摘要: AIM: As there is little evidence for concurrent validity of the Eating and Drinking Ability Classification System (EDACS), this study aimed to determine its reliability in children adolescents with cerebral palsy (CP). METHOD: After an extensive translation procedure, we applied German language version 52 participants CP (30 males, 22 females, mean age 9y 7mo [SD 4y 2mo]). We correlated (Kendall's tau or Kτ ) EDACS levels Bogenhausener Dysphagiescore (BODS), level assistance Manual (MACS) item 'eating' Functional Independence Measure Children (WeeFIM). further quantified interrater between speech therapists (SaLTs) SaLTs parents Kappa (κ). RESULTS: The highly BODS (Kτ =0.79), MACS =0.73) WeeFIM eating =-0.80). Interrater proved almost perfect (EDACS: κ=0.94; assistance: κ=0.89) κ=0.82; κ=0.89). INTERPRETATION: The seem valid showed when classifying drinking problems CP. WHAT THIS PAPER ADDS: The (EDACS) correlates well a dysphagia score. The proves valid. reliable. moderately other classification systems.
