摘要: The Changjiang (Yangtze) River estuary has been subject to a variety of anthropogenic pressures in recent decades. To assess the ecological health coastal benthic ecosystem adjacent estuary, three surveys were conducted 2005, 2009, and 2010. AZTI's Marine Biotic Index (AMBI) multivariate-AMBI (M-AMBI) used analyse status this coast. AMBI indicate that coast was only slightly degraded all 3 years. In contrast, M-AMBI indicated seriously degraded, result is most likely due pollution eutrophication induced by human activities. assessment coast's not agreement with at some stations because lower biodiversity values those sites. analysis two indices integrated abiotic parameters showed could be as suitable bio-indicator index estuary. reference conditions proposed for should further evaluated future studies. Designation local species also provide an important Chinese waters. improve reliability M-AMBI, research into ecology required understand their arrangement groups.
