摘要: Petrographic and geochemical studies showed that the Oligocene-Early Miocene volcaniclastic rocks from southern part of Sea Japan are ascribed to high-potassium aluminous subalkaline volcanic series active continental margins. A comparative analysis revealed spatiotemporal relation subaerial volcanism with Late Cretaceous Eocene-Early ignimbrite East Eurasian margin. This allows us refer a stage occurred during relative quiescence against general extension in margin setting.
