摘要: This paper presents the results of geological studies carried out during two marine expeditions R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrent’ev (cruises 37 and 41) in 2005 2006 at underwater Vityaz Ridge. Dredging has yielded various rocks from basement sedimentary cover ridge within limits three polygons. On basis radioisotope age determinations, petrochemical, paleontological data, all have been subdivided into following complexes: volcanic ones include Paleocene, Eocene, Late Oligocene, Middle Miocene, Pliocene-Pleistocene; volcanogenic-sedimentary Cretaceous-Early Paleogene undifferentiated, Oligocene-Early Pliocene-Pleistocene. The determination chemical composition enabled us to specify formation conditions extracted complexes trace evolution presence young Pliocene-Pleistocene volcanites allows one come a conclusion about modern tectono-magmatic activity central part Pacific slope Kuril Islands.
