摘要: This study deals with the observed changes in structure and performance of polyethersulfone (PES) membranes due to situ formation ex addition silica particles (SiO2). Hydrolysis condensation tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) inside PES polymer matrix reaction TEOS ammonium hydroxide were chosen form SiO2 formations, respectively. The resultant confirmed by X-ray diffraction for composite showed retention amorphous nature even after SiO2. FTIR revealed functional groups corresponding networks enhanced OH signatures on surface membranes. Field emission scanning electron microscopic images variation cross-sectional structures pure Considerable reduction thickness skin, difference pore ‘finger-like’ morphology presence was Both SiO2/PES a minor change their glass transition temperature (Tg). methodically formed membrane displayed an increase water flux decrease bovine serum albumin rejection as compared These kinds can be utilized treatment applications demanding higher flux.
