摘要: Uric acid is the end-product of purine metabolism, and purines are nitrogenous bases derived from breakdown nucleic acids. The CSF uric level thought to be index turnover degree cellular destruction in brain. levels were investigated normal controls (30 cases) patients with brain tumor (20 cases), microcephalus (8 craniostenosis (4 cases). mean values standard deviations as follows; Newborn--9 yrs 0.34 +/- 0.09 mg/dl; 10 yrs--19 0.50 0.18 20 yrs--29 0.46 0.05 30 yrs--39 0.35 0.10 40 yrs--49 0.23 mg/dl. Thereafter 0.72 0.21 increased after age 50 due highly malignant such grade 3 or 4 astrocytoma sarcomatous meningioma, but 2 meningiomas meingothelial fibroblastic type. decreased microcephalus, almost craniostenosis.
