摘要: A solution is presented for the three‐dimensional problem of determining free vibration frequencies and mode shapes a rectangular parallelepiped which completely fixed on one face other five faces. This apparently previously unsolved in published literature. The Ritz method used, with displacements assumed form algebraic polynomials. Convergence studied. Numerical results are given first each four symmetry classes vibration, thick configurations, including cube. Contour plots exhibited modal effects varying Poisson’s ratio also observed.
