摘要: During the first 4 days of incubation chick blastoderm expands to surround yolk. Its expansion takes place over inner surface vitelline membrane, and edge is firmly attached this membrane. Little attention has been paid hitherto mechanism expansion, presumably because it lies outside embryo proper. But many problems involved are considerable interest, not only as they relate development within cleidoic eggs, but also in connexion with more general questions affecting epithelia nature cell surfaces.
