The effect of solvent dependent local field factor in the optical properties of CdTe quantum dots

摘要: CdTe quantum dots (QDs) are synthesized at room temperature in aqueous solvents of different dielectric constants and characterized using optical spectroscopy. Absorption spectra the QDs obtained is used to calculate size dependent function Kramers–Kronig relation iterative matrix inversion method. Effect solvent constant on properties studied theoretically Maxwell–Garnett effective medium theory. Direct correlation between absorption intensity explained basis decreasing local field factor solvents. Emission rates also found have dependence solvent. Spontaneous emission Ionic liquid environment Our results show that variation liquids a significant impact spontaneous QDs.
