摘要: Background: Optical coherence tomography (OCT) has been used to examine the anterior as well posterior segment and can be intraocular lens (IOL) their relationship capsule in vivo. Objectives: To use OCT two of IOLs some features related development capsular opacification (PCO). Methods: This is a pilot study prospective (n = 12) retrospective 14) series patients who had uneventful phacoemulsification IOL implantation either hydrophobic acrylic (Acrysof; Alcon) or plate-haptic (PH) silicone (C11UB; Chiron, Bausch & Lomb) IOLs. The outcome interest was ability clearly delineate outline optics appositional capsule. Results: showed that better defined than PH It also close apposition between mid-peripheral part absence thereof with Conclusions: Hydrophobic implants have definition on scans they develop latter feature consistent ‘no space, no cell, PCO’ concept what known about effect implant material design rate PCO.
