摘要: This paper examines the effects of nitrogen ion irradiation on friction and wear properties engineering plastics. A black or gray decomposed layer several microns was produced irradiated plastics surfaces. The surface analysis showed that this thin partially carbonized carbon-rich provided a lubricative effect such as unfilled polyimide PEEK, but not for composite filled with carbon graphite PTFE/glass fiber composite.
