摘要: An investigation of fluorescence spectra, quantum yields and decay times in collision-free benzene vapour excited to high excess energies S1 has been carried out. The laser excitation source provides wavelength tunable picosecond pulses the range 225–250 nm. At longer wavelengths spectra are normal lifetimes single-exponential. In next region, corresponding ca. 2800–3800 cm-1 energy, decrease sharply curves non-exponential. Most structure is washed out, only strong progressions Vi being visible. third above 4000 cm-1, but at a slower rate while observed again exponential.
