摘要: In a medical imaging system patient is injected with radiopharmaceutical spontaneously emitting positrons and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan taken along parallel planes of portion the subject's body to produce slice image composed pixels arranged in pattern. The intensity each pixel automatically, computer system, converted digital data. then normalizes as location by calculating an ideal or normal slice. calculates Z transform, on pixel-by-pixel basis, compared slices from group obtain topographic color-coded map showing degree abnormality at location.
