摘要: Abstract Determination of β-hydroxybutyrate (BHBA) in blood and milk samples is an important tool the diagnosis ketosis dairy cattle. Apart from semiquantitative cow-side tests, well-established laboratory methods exist for measurements serum or plasma. These spectrophotometric are, however, neither convenient nor reliable when transferred to analyses milk. Due its nontransparent nature, needs extensive pretreatment if traditional are be used. This paper describes a fluorometric determination BHBA that useful without opaque matrices such as The method easy automate, saves labor expenses, inexpensive. analytical accuracy precision intensive well large-scale analysis; example, in-line sampling automatic milking systems. Analysis 2500 random showed content ranging 10 631μ M (mean 49μ ). Furthermore, selected (n=295) diagnosed ketotic animals taken on d −35 +35 peak level ranged 684μ (median 79μ , mean 141μ Using same 1240 plasma samples, was closely correlated with (r=0.987). Hemolysis does not appear affect BHBA.
