APPLICATION OF GIS AND MATHEMATICAL MODELING IN MARITIME CRISIS SITUATIONS

摘要: This paper aims to propose a decision support system for maritime crisis situation, due fact that Croatia has decided implement Directive 2002/59/EC define places of refuge ships in need assistance off their coasts, or develop techniques providing such ships. In order fulfill this it is necessary build an effective Decision Support System (DSS) based on GIS and mathematical modeling. The basic module the proposed GIS, all levels DSS, comprise information sub- systems about spatial other data serves modules with information. Starting points analysis are shipping corridors, 380 potential locations designated official navigational pilot book. Multicriteria analysis, GIS-generated input data, been used establish "worthiness" place each ship category, taking into account kinds accident. Proposed models facilitate optimal usage "available intervention resources".
