摘要: The reproducibility of serial measurements ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) has not been well explored in children. We performed 24-h ABPM 59 subjects (38 boys) aged 8–19 years with repeatedly elevated casual (BP). According to the results ABPM, individuals were divided into a hypertensive group (mean systolic or diastolic BP >95th percentile for height, n=28) and normotensive (n=31). No antihypertensive agents given. Both groups reexamined after 1 year. In group, dropped significantly by an average 2.1–4.5 mmHg when measured either during daytime over 24 h, but at nighttime. only small changes observed except significant increase night. At repeat examination year, 54% originally defined as 23% hypertensive. study indicates that single measurement is sufficient definitive classification young hypertensives normotensives.
