摘要: We present a granulometric study of emerged pebble beach ridges in the Fort Williams Point, Greenwich Island, Antarctic Peninsula. studied 8 from shore up to 13.5 m above current sea level. The are made volcanic material surrounding relief, but also include glacially transported gneiss and granodiorite cobble. Based on distribution analysis 2100 samples 39 locations we identified evidence 4 sequences 1 3 ridges. Most seems be reworked till. Pavement formation by iceberg between suggests periods lower temperature. interpretation that ridge construction formed during warmer late Holocene. This occurs framework an isostatic postglacial uplift allowing progressive mobilization periglaciar material. Citation: Santana, E., Dumont, J.F.
