摘要: Morphological and structural studies of the Fort Williams Point area (Greenwich Dee Islands) reveal two regional trends, NE-SW NW-SE. Detailed field observations show that NWSE direction is associated with dykes fractures resulting from a NW-SE shortening. This shortening interpreted as related to active basaltic volcanism during Mesozoic “Andean” history area. The trend trending sinistral faults post-dating Cretaceous volcanic units. Kinematic analysis shows roughly N-S event opening Bransfield Basin located south-east.
