摘要: At the 2010 Montpellier conference on ‘Taking Stock of Smallholder and Community Forestry: Where do we go from here?’, researchers, policy-makers practitioners came together to discuss historical trends future directions for understanding supporting forest sustainability local livelihoods in forest-based communities. A consensus arising these discussions was that there is a need reframe broaden approaches understand forestry practised by smallholders The paper highlights three key topics discussion: (1) reconsider definitions community forestry, (2) rights surrounding resources (3) research focus management forest–farm interface.
