摘要: Abstract Methylmethacrylate (MMA) sulfopropylmethacrylate (SPM) copolymer nanoparticles were prepared by free radical polymerization. The conditions of preparation varied with regard to the concentration initiator and monomer, composition. Nanoparticles a yield greater than 80% produced. particles characterized in terms particle size, size distribution, charge (zetapotential) molecular weight. data compared pure polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) nanoparticles. composition was shown influence charge. total monomer amount polymerization medium on characteristic up 2% depending solubility MMA water at temperature reaction. An increasing led sizes 60–130 nm for low concentrations (0.5%), proportion SPM (0–10%), 120–280 higher (greater 2%). Surface as well influenced mainly comonomer copolymer. negative surface increased from - 52 mV PMMA − 80mV an content 10%. In same range 0–10%), decreased 187 100 run. 0.3% showed no effect resulting nanoparticle suspension. Higher intolerably large variability process.
