摘要: Abstinent alcoholics were compared to a non-alcoholic control group on modified Stroop color-naming task. Alcoholics took significantly longer name the color of word "alcohol" than non-alcohol words (i.e., they showed an interference effect) after had first tried suppress thoughts alcohol. who freely expressed about alcohol prior did not show such interference. Control participants suppressed no effect. The results overall suggest that when try alcohol, these may become hyperaccessible immediately afterward.
