摘要: The mechanisms behind the pathogenesis of rainbow trout gastroenteritis (RTGE) are still unknown. This study examined macroscopic and microscopic changes in with RTGE (RTGE+), as well blood chemistry. A total 464 were sampled from 11 sites UK, comprising 152 RTGE+ fish 330 random, apparently healthy fish. case definition for was assessed by analysis its agreement three laboratory tests: histopathology, packed cell volume kidney bacteriology. Cluster indicated presence distinct presentations within population included gross signs associated moribund fish, clusters B C identified consistent concurrent diseases, notably furunculosis, enteric redmouth proliferative disease. information gained used to select without disease biochemistry. revealed a severe osmotic imbalance reduced albumin/globulin ratio indicatives selective loss albumin. These findings compatible protein losing enteropathy.
