摘要: Rainbow trout gastroenteritis (RTGE) is an emerging disease that has acquired new relevance in European rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum), culture, because of the economic losses it causes. Disease aetiology and pathogenesis remain unclear. The lesions appear restricted to gastrointestinal tract where extensive mucosal detachment associated with high numbers segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB) can be detected. In this study, RTGE outbreak north-western Spain was investigated, findings observed diseased were compared control fish. PAS stain immunohistochemical assays anti-CD3e anti-active caspase-3 antibodies performed. results showed CD3e+ inflammatory infiltrates present intestine both lamina propria-submucosa within epithelium. Moreover, increased number caspase-3+ cells intestinal mucosa also strong anti-caspase-3 immunoreactivity desquamated gut lumen observed. Changes goblet found, resulting increase or depletion mucous depending on severity lesions. These suggest T apoptosis play important role development RTGE.
