摘要: The equilibrium zeta adsorption isotherm for vapours indicates the amount adsorbed is finite vapour-phase pressures approaching saturation value, and strongly supported by experimental measurements a number of different vapour–solid surface systems. This assumes adsorbate consists differently sized molecular clusters in local rather than being layers. We use local-equilibrium approximation develop method to determine expression chemical potential terms adsorbed, nA(t). allows us apply statistical rate theory calculate nA(t) at five pressures, xV (≡PV/Psat), parameter, re. Statistical that re describes dynamics given isolated system under conditions. consider two methods determining value give best agreement with performed each values xV. In one method, we assume, re, function both temperature, T, pressure, xV, best-fit experiments, changes factor more two, but standard deviation 6%. second assume only T; find not changed significantly. all cases, calculated agree measurements.
