摘要: Argon ions of a kiloelectronvolt energy were irradiated on saturated simple‐chain polymers, such as polyethylene , poly(vinylidene fluoride) and poly(tetrafluoroethylene) in an oxygen environment. Irradiating have induced chemical changes polymeric chains, which includes substitution reactions for environment gas species resulting the formation radicals, carbonization, bond scission but, exceeding optimum ion dose, carbonized phase was formed polymer surface. The relationship between surface reaction hydrophilic polar groups investigated with view compositional change kinetic ions. From experimental results, identification newly bonds depending depositing incident is represented. © 1999 Electrochemical Society. All rights reserved.
