摘要: The wealth of data available for phylogenetic analysis the insect orders, from both morphological and molecular sources, is steadily increasing. However, controversy exists among methodologies one can use to reconstruct ordinal relationships. Recently, Kjer (2004) presented an relationships based exclusively on a single source information: 18S rDNA sequence data. claims that his resulted in more “credible” phylogeny orders strongly criticized our previous results. only used subset are currently phylogeny, misrepresented analyses, omitted other analyses we have published phylogeny. In estimation, did poor job representing current state affairs phylogenetics. Furthermore, examine number analytical issues relevant not but systematics as science, such as: repeatability objectivity, locating alignment boundaries, secondary structure, goodness fit measure, epistemological coherence, practicality homology. © Willi Hennig Society 2005.
