摘要: Appropriately selected and prepared nanofluids have promised improved volumetric absorption for solar energy harvesting. This study explored methods of optimizing a graphite-Therminol VP-1 nanofluid flow receiver. Previous studies provided means selecting the optimum physical parameters rectangular receiver via 2D analytical model. model has been extended to include specular reflective base, which demonstrated improvements in overall efficiency. The refractive index absorbing medium was included, causing spectral shift incoming radiation. Smaller nanoparticle volume fractions were therefore required achieve efficiency, also determined using A more realistic numerical model, Ansys Fluent, indicated that receivers with partially diffuse reflecting bases exhibited higher temperatures near thereby minimizing surface losses increasing average temperatures. magnitude these increases, however, may not warrant use types reflectors.
