摘要: Abstract A method for experimentally determining the extinction index of four liquids (water, ethylene glycol, propylene and Therminol VP-1) commonly used in solar thermal energy applications was developed. In addition to index, we report refractive indices available within literature these fluids. The final value reported is solar-weighted absorption coefficient fluids demonstrating each fluid’s baseline capacity absorbing energy. Water shown be best absorber fluids, but it still a weak absorber, only 13% These values represent potential fluid utilized direct collector.
