摘要: Abstract Background. In cirrhotics, Helicobacter pylori infection is the major cause of peptic lesions, which are an important upper intestinal haemorrhage in these patients. However, some diagnostic methods not accurate for H. detection cirrhotics. Aims. The study assessed accuracy different cirrhotics with and without gastroduodenal lesions. Methods. population comprised 53 All patients underwent endoscopy: three biopsies were taken antrum gastric body. Four used Giemsa staining, while two a rapid urease test. A blood sample was obtained serology using Western blotting, [13C]urea breath test performed all Histological assessment regarded as gold standard diagnosis infection. Results. detected at histological 28 (52.8%) test, positive 27 (51%) patients, 23 (43.4%) 34 (64.1%) respectively. Sensitivity specificity 92.9 96% 78.6 52% serology. Conclusions. very whilst both give disappointing results.
