摘要: Background Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) can be classified into low-, intermediate-, and high-grade tumors based on its histological features. MEC is mainly composed of three cell types (squamous or epidermoid, mucous intermediate cells), which correlates with the grade reflects clinical behavior. Most cancers exhibit reduced methylation repetitive sequences such as Long INterspersed Element-1 (LINE-1) Alu elements. However, to date very little information available LINE-1 status in MEC. The aim this study was investigate element compare if key differences exist between different types, adjacent normal salivary gland cells, see may reflect grade.
