摘要: Models were constructed to simulate as closely possible the human oral cavity. Radiation absorbed doses determined for controls and various test situations involving presence of dental restorative splint materials during cobalt-60 irradiation models. Adjacent gold full crowns adjacent solid silver amalgam cores both increased dose interproximal gingivae by 20%. Use orthodontic bands splinting jaws buccal tissues an average 10%. Augmentation through backscatter radiation was be only slight intracoronal fillings stainless steel or plastic bracket splints.
