摘要: Climatic fluctuations during the twentieth century in northern Scandinavia and Spitsbergen may have influenced frequency of rainfall-triggered mass movements such as debris flows, with a shorter recurrence interval colder periods before c. 1920 after 1960, less frequent occurrence intervening warm period. However, precipitation data are contradictory regarding contrasts between cold periods, recorded high number flow events later decades also be result improved observations. Studies nivation processes snow cover distribution provide additional information on climatic fluctuations. Examples given use landforms indicators.
