摘要: The forest industry utilizes wood and other lignocellulosic feedstocks as raw materials for the production of paper. major constituents are cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, extractives. Softwoods, hardwoods, straw have different proportions chemical components (Table 7.1). processing in paper mills involves various operations including debarking, pulping, bleaching that result discharge highly polluted wastewaters. quantity types pollutants these effluents vary with type feedstock used material, process conditions applied (pH, temperature, pressure, mechanical treatments), specific water consumption.1 Chemical additions and, to a lesser extent, high pressures temperatures an increased release organic matter into extensive lignin solubilization. Therefore, pollution loads color due dissolved compounds is very compared pulping effluents.2,3 COD associated processes range from 20–50 kg COD/ton pulp whereas those corresponding soda may be 500–900 pulp.1,4 Nevertheless, black liquors originating kraft usually burnt recover chemicals calorific power components, diminishing great environmental impact processes. Conventional recovery not economically viable small using nonwoody silica content.4,5 Black represent important source several countries where small-scale common.4-6
