摘要: This paper assesses the potential of modified montmorillonite clays as low-cost adsorbents/ion-exchangers for removal trace level heavy metals (Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn) from potable water. Modification montmorillonites resulted in exchange interlayer calcium ions polymeric species. One unmodified three Fe- Al-modified have been evaluated with respect to their selectivity uptake performance. All are selective Cu adsorption aqueous solutions at mildly acidic pH range which experiments were performed (pH 5.5–6). Polymeric iron- Al/Fe-modified had comparatively great affinities all studied, whilst original Al relatively lower affinities. Only could be correlated physical properties such clay surface area. The metal type intercalated Fe species clays.
