Soil, Water, and Nutrient Management Options for Climate Change Adaptation in Southern Africa

摘要: Climate change and food insecurity are the two major challenges for humanity in developing countries. Drawing lessons from numerous research studies southern Africa regions on other continents, this review discusses possible interventions climate ecological adaptation using improved water management, soil fertility amelioration, intensive crop management options. This proposed framework should provide useful information improving agricultural policy to help poor farmers contend with erratic rainfall, declining fertility, fragile economies while ensuring long-term ecosystem sustainability, increased yields, farm incomes, sustained social livelihoods.
