摘要: Abstract Experiments have been carried out aimed at determining whether the source of collagen-bound hydroxyproline is non-protein-bound or protein-bound proline. Free hydroxy[ 14 C]proline formation from injected [ was found to be essentially normal in chick embryos whose collagen-forming ability had almost completely suppressed by puromycin. Following injection into embryos, bound s-RNA could isolated. Similarly, when chick-embryo incubated vitro with amino acid-activating enzymes embryo. Supplementation such a system and activating Escherichia coli stimulated binding but ineffective hydroxylation proline hydroxyproline. The results led conclusion that can converted hydroxy-proline without prior incorporation protein.
