摘要: Abstract Studies have been conducted on collagen biosynthesis by embryonic chick tibias in tissue culture and the nature of action ascorbic acid this system. Inhibitors electron transport uncouplers oxidative phosphorylation were found to inhibit synthesis peptide-bound hydroxyproline other proteins a similar extent. Although depressed DNA RNA bones is an early effect depletion, did not appear be either stability or mRNA. Puromycin was more than it inhibited incorporation proline into protein, indicating that peptide linkage preceded hydroxylation. Simultaneous addition puromycin prelabeled with [ 14 C]proline increased amount absence synthesis. These results indicate exerts direct stimulating hydroxylation proline.
