摘要: Women are very much susceptible for acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), mainly due to unprotected heterosexual vaginal intercourse some social economical disadvantages. Our aim was formulate optimize film of abacavir, a potent nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, the treatment AIDS HIV. Abacavir films were prepared by solvent evaporation method using sodium alginate (Na-alginate) as main polymer, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose E 15 (HPMC 15) copolymer glycerol humectant. sulphate (ABC) used here drug. Films optimized various physicochemical parameters such tensile strength, % elongation at break, swelling capacity, drug content (mg/cm2), thickness, folding endurance, bioadhesion, pH, moisture SEM. Drug polymer interaction studied FTIR Spectra. The release study accomplished in dissolution apparatus. In vivo also carried out. This newly formed one kind sustain type can be considered novel carrier system STDs. It suitable local well systemic effect. showed good property with aesthetic appeal.
